Let me Give you an Update!

The New Office.

We are trying to move our desk/office stuff to a small room upstairs so we can have a real office. This is no more than a walk-in closet at the top of the steps, but how big do we need it to be? So, I had electric added then wanted to add Internet. So, I called DirectTV. We have always had cable modem so I did not think anything about it. They came out and added a cable outlet. The repair man says, "can I have a TV to make sure it works?" What? A TV? Oh Crap. You Idiot. I wanted Internet not TV. Nice, now my husband has another reason to get a flat screen TV. So, I call the phone company since we have VOIP (voice over IP, Internet through the phone lines - I DON"T KNOW! trying to act like a COMM person so my husband can be proud) Set up the call for them to come out and add Internet. They call the day of the appointment, "OH, we don't do that, call your electrician to install that as it goes to the Smart Box and we don't mess w/ that." Great, the electrician was just here 2 Weeks ago. Why can't it be easy to just move an office. But we have cable in the closet? ha!

So, everyone that sees the room says, "oooohhhh, isn't this a closet?" My, yes it is, but soon it will be an office in the closet w/ cable!


An Oil Change?

Ok, so today we go get our oil changed and what an experience. We got to stay in the car while they did it! Yippee! Have you ever heard of such a thing? We did not have to get out and sit in the nasty waiting room full of germs and dirt. We got to stay put right in the car. Brennan was contained. Mommy got to read a magazine. $35 and 20 minutes later we were done. Very expensive and Ken will have something to say about this! but you know what, it made my day a bit easier. I am sure others out there know about this Oil Change Revolution, but it was all new to me. Wow! What fun. I even missed our Mom's Brunch for this. Oops. Becky will have a word to say about that!
